Happy holidays from NACLA! As we hope you've heard by now, NACLA has undergone some exciting transformations over the past year. Last winter we moved our offices to NYU’s Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies (CLACS), which has connected us to a community of scholars and students committed to social justicein the Americas. Based in our new home, we have hosted a range of public events, including a film series on Chile, panel discussions on post-Chávez Venezuela, author readings and more—all designed to foster knowledge, stimulate dialog, and inform activism on today’s most pressing issues. To provide this type of programming, we rely on the support of people like you. So won't you give generously today?

This year, we also took an important step forward in ensuring NACLA’s continued relevance in today’s digital age. This fall we launched the NACLA mobile app, bringing you the in-depth coverage of the Report in a full-color, interactive, paperless format. We’ve also introduced several new bloggers to the nacla.org blog roll so that you can get more daily information on issues like immigration, extractivism, and human rights. In 2014, we plan to continue expanding our digital presence and we hope to launch a weekly NACLA radio spot. But to make all this possible, we need your support.
As a small nonprofit operating on a shoestring budget, NACLA has always relied on the support of our subscribers and donors to carry out our mission. We are thrilled to be building upon NACLA’s 46-year legacy by expanding our coverage of the region, but we need to ensure that our growth is sustainable.
