Media Activism: A NACLA Webinar with Keane Bhatt

Sunday November 17th, 2013, 3pm EST

Mainstream coverage of Latin America plays an outsize role in shaping public perceptions, discourse, and policies toward the region. Join Keane Bhatt, author of Manufacturing Contempt, a NACLA blog affiliated with the Media Accuracy on Latin America (MALA) project, for this special webinar, which will highlight role that media activism can play in promoting a more honest and open press and teach you the skills you need to regularly scrutinize prominent news and opinion, to advocate for fair and accurate reporting.

There is a $20 fee to participate in the webinar. Proceeds support NACLA's work to report on the stories that are overlooked, under-reported, and covered up by mainstream media outlets. Register here.
