News and Views -- Where to Find Them

September 25, 2007

This section is a compendium of periodicals
where the reader can find information and analysis on current events in Latin America. The first list
emphasizes Latin American coverage while the second
has a more international focus with some coverage
of Latin America. The SHORT LIST includes titles
which, in our judgment, provide more or less
comprehensive coverage. The LONG LIST items treat
specific countries or a specific topic. Those sources without comment share an anti-imperialist
perspective, but they range from a left-liberal
position to one based on class analysis. The
listings that represent the bourgeois press are
indicated with a descriptive comment for each.
Two additional categories list church publications
and clipping services.
