Notice: Language School of the Center of Intercultural Formation, Cuernavaca

September 25, 2007

The following is excerpted from a brochure the NACLA office just received:Classes are snall, with up to ten hours of daily drill; for every two hours of semi-private drills with a Mexican-born instructor, there is one hour of supervised laboratory work. The language courses run from one to four months, and no student is accepted to register for less than 25 hours weekly.

New courses start on the first Monday of each month, for a minimum of one month. Four months is normally considered adequate time to acquire a working base in the language. The CIF School does not give academic credits, but credit has been granted to students by their own colleges.

All students pay a $25 registration fee, which is paid only once. The intensive language course costs $115/month regardless of the number of class hours taken. Registration for the Summer Seminars is an additional $55/month.

For more information write directly to the CIF Language School, Aptdo. 479, Cuernavaca, Mexico, or, for their brochure, write to NACLA.
