Our friends at the Committee in Solidarity with the People of El Salvador (CISPES) have launched a blog providing reports and analysis on the upcoming local and presidential elections. On January 18, Salvadorans will vote for municipal and legislative representatives, followed by the presidential election on March 15. If current polls hold, El Salvador will join in Latin America's left turn.
The blog is available at: www.cispes.org/09electionsblog
Next week, CISPES, NACLA, and Upside Down World will be launching an in-depth, online report on the elections and the main issues on the horizon for El Salvador.
Stay tuned...
