Public Teach-In on Mexico Now: “When Governments Kill their Students”

In response to the recent state-sanctioned violence and subsequent mass demonstrations in México, the Hemispheric Institute of Performance and Politics will hold a public teach-in. The event, entitled “When Governments Kill Their Students,” will bring together a host of scholars, artists, students, activists and members of the NYU community and the public to explore the current crisis, and the role that U.S. policy has played in its creation. 

4:30 pm Assembly at Washington Square Arch
5 pm Procession through Washington Square Park into Teach-In
5–9 pm Teach-in at Eisner Auditorium in NYU’s Kimmel Center
9 pm Outdoor participatory projections with The Illuminator
